Last week you wrote the word. This week you find out what it costs.
A husband takes a hundred things for granted — that he comes first, that the bed is his, that jealousy is his right. You've handed every one of them over. This week you put them in a column and look at the total.
It reads like a list of losses. Until you notice whose handwriting it's in.
