Refund Policy

Navigating Compersion publishes free editorial content, offers a paid Inner Circle membership, and operates The Vesper Room, a web application for Inner Circle members.

Free Content
Part of this site is freely accessible without payment: the Monday pieces, The Library, the Coming Out Guide and its downloads. Nothing is charged for these, and nothing is refundable.

Inner Circle Membership (via Fanvue)
Membership is billed monthly through Fanvue (Fanvue Ltd, United Kingdom), which acts as the payment provider.

You can cancel at any time in your Fanvue account. Cancellation stops all future payments. Access remains until the end of the period you have already paid for — you are not cut off mid-month. If you return later, your account and the archive are as you left them.

Because payments are processed by Fanvue, refunds are handled under Fanvue's own refund and dispute policies. Contact Fanvue first. If your issue is with access to this site rather than with the payment, write to me directly and I will sort it out — see below.

Right of Withdrawal (EU consumers)
As a consumer in the EU you normally have the right to withdraw from a contract for digital content within 14 days.

By requesting immediate access to the members' area and accessing the content, you expressly consent to the service beginning before the withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal at that point.

If you have subscribed but have not yet accessed any members' content, your right of withdrawal is unaffected. Write to hello@navigating-compersion.com within 14 days.

The Vesper Room
Access to The Vesper Room is included in the Inner Circle membership and is not sold separately. There is no separate charge and therefore no separate refund. The application is under active development and provided as-is; temporary unavailability does not by itself constitute grounds for a refund of the membership.

If something doesn't work
If the access link doesn't arrive, if the archive doesn't open, if a download is broken, or if your Vesper Room activation code doesn't work: write to hello@navigating-compersion.com.

I will fix it, or grant access by hand. Please try this before raising a dispute with your bank — a chargeback bans your Fanvue account automatically and takes your access with it, which is almost never what anyone wanted.
